Constant Tightness in Chest and Rib Cage

I've been treated for Lyme 3 times (but only 1 positive test) over the past dozen or so years. Back in September 2021, I started having tightness through my chest and rib cage. No shortness of breath, just a feeling of tightness. Negative Lyme test, but based on my history, I was prescribed 2 rounds of 30 days of 100mg doxycycline, and I did feel better for a while. Now I'm being treated by a Lyme-literate Naturopath, and I'm on the Byron White protocol. But the tightness never goes away. Mostly in my chest and rib cage, but sometimes in my neck. It can be disconcerting at times, and sometimes it gets my anxiety going.

Has anyone else had this same experience? It would just be reassuring to hear from others.

Thanks.

Lyme and Anxiety go hand in hand along with your other symptoms. As far as relief honestly for me it was antibiotics and long term and I mean long term 9 years but I was misdiagnosed for 7 years as well. Early detection can reduce that significantly but weather will make ti worse. My body is a weather vane now since Lyme. My heart ribs all but now after 20 years it's so much better but keep in mind I was without proper treatment lied to for 7 years so if you get on it fast hopefully it will be faster for you but don't go off it early or it will come back and it is worse from what everyone says a second time. You need a LLMD. Get yourself a good doc and get all your tests and stay on top of it and organized as your head is going to be all over the place. Protocols in my experience were not really any help but if it works for you great. For me it was antibiotics and limiting my diet to an antiflamatory diet that my doctor had a nutrionalist come out as I lost 70 plus pounds in month and a half all from Lyme. Lots of chest and heart attacks and was 24 at the time and very active and very healthy. Just got back from a trip and traveled alot. Very active. Docs kept saying that impossible to have heart attacks at my age which it showed on the ECG and all other heart tests and was put on heart meds which made me worse from my cardiologist. Turned out be lyme inflammation in the heart. Good diet and I'm not saying veggies I mean anti-inflamatory. NO beans. NO cashews. Lots of no no's and just cut out all these things that inflame your body so the meds can reach their destination. Otherwise your wasting your time. Also every 30 days is replication so keep that in mind as only once a month you can kill the little spirochetes so you have to stay on track. Write it all down even if you forget where you put it. You will find it eventually..

Yes! These symptoms are very similar to what I have experienced. I end up in and out of the ER with heart palp and chest, rib pain. Every time they say I am fine. I am on an antibiotic regime along with some herbals. I can say there are good days but there is also a lot of pain. I don’t really have advise but wanted to express that you are not alone!
