Lyme disease/als

I don't think so, lyme disease can cause a multitude of serious problems but I have never heard of it causing als. Don't quite me though. Have you had a tick bite?

This is an age-old debate. Lyme "specialists" will try to give you hope that you can be cured of ALS by spending a boatload of money on their cure. It is not so...

Hello Vicky i dont think i have been bitten but I read somewhere that people who have had Lyme disease has developed into als but it does not sound wise to my ears

Well you can only get lymes disease from a deer tick bite. So if you haven't been bitten by a tick then you won't have lymes.

There's been a lot of good and bad info regarding Lyme disease (which is actually one of 3 borrealis (sp?) that are co-infections)... If you think you may have been bitten ask for the Western Blot test, which is more accurate than the Elisa test. There's no proof that Lyme disease causes ALS (and I doubt it), but some symptoms can mimic it...
