Hi everybody';
Here is an article in the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, on Lyme in Canada ! Have a read. http://www.canada.com/ottawa/ottawa....html?id=5a08bb25-9e05-402f-aff5-4db3af19591f
I surely hope that our Canadian Public Health/Government, Neurologist and Infectious Diseases specialists are taking notice of this kind of information, to re-research this Lyme disease that can mimic various other diseases and our laboratory techniques for detecting the Lyme bacteria. This research has been done in decades past with limited results but it doesn't mean that Lyme is not in Canada, that the present laboratory tests for Lyme in Canada is always accurate and that Lyme disease can not mimic other diseases /conditions! We need to research this again.
Also, I just got this link to a video presentations on Lyme disease conference. The very first one is by a Dr Whitaker on ALS/Lyme. Interesting indeed, have a listen http://www.ctlymedisease.org/videoclips.htm . I have been tested by her laboratory- Bowen and she has even phoned me earlier this spring and informed me that I and another person with ALS, from her study were the only ones still living iving out of the 195 ALS cases who all tested positive for Lyme disease. Although these kinds of research studies and doctors are not taken seriously by the main stream medicine.
I know that some of you do not believe the Lyme/ALS connection and don't believe in the Igenex and Bowen laboratories Lyme and coinfections testings but I believe that more research is required on the validaty of these tests and the Lyme/ALS theory connection.
Regards;
Patsy
