    Lyme disease/als

There's been a lot of good and bad info regarding Lyme disease (which is actually one of 3 borrealis (sp?) that are co-infections)... If you think you may have been bitten ask for the Western Blot test, which is more accurate than the Elisa test. There's no proof that Lyme disease causes ALS...

Curious about Lyme / ALS symptom overlap

How are your hands doing? If you are having a Lyme test, make sure its the Western Blot, not the Elisa, which is unreliable.

Have undiagnosed ALS symptoms? Consider Lyme disease!

I love it when someone comes on here, for the first time no less, and implies that we are all little sheep for not checking something out... as I said before, I went down that road, been there, done that... I would guess that most PALS who think it may be Lyme are like me... hoping it is, but...

    Don't discount Lyme

Honestly do you really think that stem cell treatment isn't being done here because it doesn't make as much...

I've written a book on Lyme

If you're interested in having us review it, can you post your pdf here? Although I don't think there's much correlation between them, after spending nearly a year thinking that it had to be Lyme, not ALS that I had... I did read about it online as well as in the book "Cure Unknown: Inside the...

    Don't discount Lyme

The reason Lyme gets brought up so much is that it imitates LOTS of other diseases, and is so hard to eradicate (or even find it) in long-term cases! I wish my ALS was rediagnosed as Lyme, I was so sure that it HAD to be; I was in a tick-infested area about 6 months before I got really sick, I...

    Don't discount Lyme

dianan, I've never heard of cat's claw, but highly doubt it will be effective. I got a book about Lyme a couple of years ago (Cure Unknown: Inside the Lyme Epidemic ) , and did look into for myself... I would highly recommend this book. The author's theory about long-term Lyme is basically...

    Don't discount Lyme

If that were true that Lyme coinfections can "start" ALS, then getting treated aggressively for Lyme should eradicate it... which it doesn't. I really thought I had Lyme, and got treated, to no avail. The problem is that many symptoms of Lyme are similar when they get to the neurological stage...
