    Michele, I don't think you will find a lyme specialist at duke other than a infectious disease dr. Did you have a dirty emg that correlated with ALS? Or is your dr just giving you a probably based on your clinical findings. All the things you mentioned can be Lyme. hang in there,

    Michele, I would definately see a lyme disease specialist. Were you diagnosed with ALS from your local nuero, I see you say you are waiting for second opinion. Do you have and other symptoms than weakness in your hands? You can go to the lymenet forum and request lyme info on lyme dr in your area.

    Clint, Please stop worrying you are causing yourself alot of aniexty. Even if the antibotics made you feel 100% you probably wouldn't even know because your symptoms can be caused by aniexty and depression. If I had a positive lymes test I would be doing the dance of joy-joy!

    Clint, I would not be worrying about ALS or MND if I were you, 1) clean emg 2) you are 25 3) tested positive for lymes I would get off of this forum and find a Lymes forum. I reread your post and all that anxiety will really make your symtoms worst. good luck,
