Default re: Two rashes - Lyme Testing

IgG means past infection and IgM denotes a current active infection. And yes, I have rashes and skin problems.

news is back. They took 21 vials of blood and sent them off to the labs. Yes, we even did the western block. $600 later we have an inconclusive on lyme, but more interesting, a positive on leptospirosis. This is caused by spirochete bacteria and is transmitted through urine from small vermin/furbearing animals.
All the usual symptoms are part of it so it explains a lot of Tom's ailments that ALS does not explain.
He is now on heavy duty doxy for Lyme, AND cefixime tablets for leptospriosis, and they are taking their toll. He cannot go outside because even thinking about the sunshine gives him a burn, and he has the runs. He is still to take the rilutek for ALS. He feels sick and has no desire to do anything but sit and *****. Poor man.
He says he will wait one more week and hope for improvement in how he feels or else he's gonna quit. I hope to convince him to go a little longer. Would Pepto Bismol help with the runs?
